Mr. Simon Mammino (Toombul District Cricket Club President) is pleased to announce that this coming season, Toombul will be competing in Senior Women’s Cricket.
Following recent discussions with Mr. Nick Stuart, Murry Bennett and Ms Linda Bayfield from Queensland Cricket. The decision has been reached where Toombul will field a women’s 2nd grade side in the Brisbane Premier Women’s Cricket Competition.
Mr. Mammino has commented that this is a significant step for for Toombul being a founding club of Brisbane Premier Grade Cricket.
“This allows us to give a clear pathway forward, for our junior girls cricket programs” commented Mr. Mammino.
Toombul for many years have been a highly successful club in developing cricketers from juniors through to first class cricketers. They are now able to adopt the same philosophies in Women’s cricket, allowing girls to compete in the Brisbane competition supporting a local foundation club.
“Being a family club, we can now offer girls and boys an opportunity to play cricket from as young as 5 years old through to senior cricket and beyond” said, Mr. Mammino.
Head Coach Mr. Bruce Arrold has been busy recruiting players for the upcoming season.

In addition to the the Women’s second grade side, Toombul will be fielding a side in the “Paul Pink Cup” a competition for girls to the age of 15 and a Under 19’s girls team.
