Oxenham Park Lights Up!

On Saturday, January 18, and Sunday, January 19, Toombul District Cricket Club will make history by hosting the first PINK BALL 2-Day game under lights. Test cricket-style pink-ball action is coming to Nundah!

This milestone coincides with the completion of Oxenham Park’s $1.3 million lighting upgrade, providing state-of-the-art facilities to host Brisbane Premier Grade Cricket matches.

The lighting project, funded through a pledge by Federal Sports Minister & Local Federal Member Anika Wells during the last federal election, represents over four years of collaboration between Toombul District Cricket Club and the Federal Government.

Andrew Cranstoun, President of TDCC, expressed his enthusiasm:
“This lighting upgrade allows Toombul to provide the best opportunities for boys and girls of all ages to enjoy cricket. It also ensures our senior players can compete in conditions equal to anywhere in Australia. As a foundation club of Queensland Cricket, this project has catapulted Toombul to the forefront of the sport.”

Match Details:

  • Dates: Saturday, January 18 & Sunday, January 19
  • Start Time: 1:30 PM
  • Evening Session: 5:30 PM – 8:30 PM
