Exciting News: Lighting Upgrade at Oxenham Park! π
We are thrilled to announce that work is about to commence on upgrading the lights at Oxenham Park. Thanks to a generous pledge of $1.3 million from Anika Wells, Federal Sports Minister and local federal member, we will soon have state-of-the-art LED lighting.
Why is This Upgrade Important?
1.π Improved Lighting Quality:
The new LED lights will provide brighter and more uniform lighting, significantly enhancing visibility for both players and spectators during evening games and events.
2. π Eco-Friendly Solution:
LED lights are much more energy-efficient compared to the current lighting. This means lower energy consumption, reduced carbon footprint, and a more sustainable environment for our community.
3. π Less Impact on Neighbors:
The upgraded lighting will have a better focus and minimal spillover, reducing light pollution and ensuring minimal disruption to our neighbors. This thoughtful approach shows our commitment to being good community stewards.
4. πβ½ Benefits for All Athletes:
Once the upgrade is complete, cricketers and footballers of all ages will benefit from safer, well-lit conditions, making training and games more enjoyable and effective.
Β Project Timeline and Impact
Work on the lighting upgrade will begin shortly, with an expected completed by August 2024. This upgrade is a significant milestone for Oxenham Park and will greatly enhance the experience for everyone who uses these facilities.
We are incredibly grateful to Anika Wells for her support in making this project a reality. Her commitment to local sports and community well-being is truly commendable.
